Answers to common questions about Devlio
General
What is Devlio?
Devlio is a digital marketplace where creators publish projects — Minecraft plugins, Discord bots, web templates, developer tools, and more. Users can browse, download, and review projects. Some are free, others are paid.
Is Devlio free to use?
Browsing, searching, and downloading free projects costs nothing. Some creators set a price for their projects, which you pay at checkout. There are no subscription fees or hidden charges.
What types of projects can I find?
You can find Minecraft plugins, mods, and datapacks; Discord bots and server templates; web templates and landing pages; developer tools and scripts; design assets; AI tools; and much more. We cover a wide range of digital projects.
Do I need an account?
You can browse projects without an account. To download projects, leave reviews, or upload your own, you'll need to create a free account.
How do I create an account?
Click "Get Started" in the top navigation, enter your email and username, and verify your account with the one-time code sent to your email. You can also sign in with Discord or Google.
How do I contact support?
Visit our contact page and fill out the form. You can also join our Discord server for community help.
Downloading Projects
How do I download a project?
Visit the project page and click the download button. Free projects download immediately. Paid projects require payment through Polar.sh before the download link becomes available.
Can I download older versions?
Yes. If a creator has uploaded multiple versions, you can choose which one to download from the project page. This is useful if a newer version introduces changes you don't want yet.
How do I know if a project is safe?
Every project on Devlio is reviewed by our moderation team before it goes live. We check for malware, malicious code, and deceptive behavior. If you ever find a suspicious project, use the report button to alert us.
Can I use downloaded projects commercially?
That depends on the project creator's license. Each project displays its license type on the project page. Check the license before using a project commercially. If no license is specified, contact the creator directly.
What if a project doesn't work?
Check the project description and documentation first — most issues are setup-related. Make sure you're using the correct version for your environment. If the project is genuinely broken, leave a review or report it.
What if I lose my download?
You can re-download any project you've previously downloaded by visiting the project page again. Your download history is available in your profile.
For Creators
How do I upload a project?
Go to your profile and click the upload button. Fill in the title, description, category, tags, and upload your files. All submissions are reviewed by our team before going live — this usually takes 1-3 days.
What are the quality requirements?
Projects must work as described, include documentation, and be original work. We check for malware, misleading descriptions, and code quality. Full details are on the Creator Guidelines page.
How long does the review take?
Most submissions are reviewed within 1-3 days. During high-traffic periods, it may take slightly longer. You'll receive a notification once your project is approved or if it needs changes.
Can I update my project after publishing?
Yes. You can upload new versions at any time from your project dashboard. Each version goes through the same review process. Users can choose which version to download.
Can I change my project's category after publishing?
Yes. Edit your project and select a different category. The change will be reviewed before it goes live.
Can I offer both free and paid versions?
Each project is either free or paid — you set this when uploading. If you want to offer a free version alongside a paid one, you can create two separate projects.
What file formats can I upload?
We accept most common file formats including ZIP, JAR, DLL, EXE, APK, JS, PY, HTML, CSS, PDF, images (PNG, JPG, GIF, WEBP), and more. If your file type isn't supported, contact us.
Can I sell projects on Devlio?
Yes. When uploading a project, you can set a price. Payments are processed through Polar.sh. You keep 85.0% of each sale — Devlio takes a 15.0% platform fee.
How do I get paid?
Earnings accumulate in your account balance. Once you have a sufficient balance, you can request a withdrawal. Withdrawals are processed through Polar.sh to your connected account.
How do I get my project featured?
Projects are featured based on quality, downloads, ratings, and community engagement. Focus on creating a polished project with good documentation, screenshots, and positive reviews. Our team manually selects projects for the homepage.
Can I see who downloaded my project?
You can see download counts and analytics (views, unique visitors, top countries, referrers) from your project's stats page. Individual user download data is not shared with creators for privacy reasons.
Payments & Purchases
What payment methods are accepted?
All payments are processed through Polar.sh, which supports major credit/debit cards and other payment methods depending on your region.
What currencies are supported?
Currency support depends on your region and payment method. Polar.sh handles currency conversion automatically. Prices are displayed in the creator's selected currency.
Is there a minimum price for paid projects?
Yes. There is a minimum price set by the platform to ensure fair compensation for creators. Check the upload form for the current minimum.
Can I get a refund?
All sales are final. Since digital products are delivered immediately, no refunds are issued once a project is downloaded. If a project is broken or significantly different from its description, contact us and we will review your case.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. Devlio never stores your payment information. All transactions are processed securely by Polar.sh, a certified payment provider.
Do I need to pay taxes on purchases?
Tax obligations depend on your jurisdiction. Polar.sh handles applicable taxes (such as VAT) at checkout where required by law. Creators are responsible for reporting and paying taxes on their earnings.

After downloading a project, you can leave a star rating and a written review. Reviews help other users find quality projects and give creators useful feedback. One review per user per project.
Can I edit or delete my review?
Yes. You can update or remove your review at any time from the project page. Your most recent review is what other users will see.
How are ratings calculated?
Ratings are the average of all star ratings a project has received. Only users who have downloaded the project can leave a rating. The rating is displayed alongside the total number of reviews.
What if I find a project that violates the rules?
Click the "Report" button on the project page and select a reason. Our moderation team reviews every report. Projects containing malware, stolen content, or misleading descriptions are removed.
