Creator Guidelines

Ensuring the highest standards of digital craftsmanship on Devlio

Preparation

Before submitting your project, ensure it is complete, polished, and ready for public use. A great project isn't just functional—it's professional.

  • Code Quality: Your code should be clean, commented, and follow industry standards. Avoid hardcoded secrets or debugging statements.
  • Documentation: Every project must include a clear README. Explain what the project does, how to install it, and provide usage examples.
  • Assets: Provide high-resolution screenshots and a compelling thumbnail (16:9 ratio recommended).

Submission Process

Submissions are reviewed manually by our moderation team to maintain platform quality.

  • Accurate Metadata: Ensure your title and description accurately reflect the project's capabilities. Avoid clickbait.
  • Categorization: Select the most relevant category and add descriptive tags to help users find your work.
  • Version Control: If this is an update, clearly state what has changed in the version notes.

Quality Standards

Projects that meet these criteria are more likely to be approved and featured on the homepage.

  • Originality: Projects must be your own work or properly licensed for redistribution. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
  • Functionality: Your project must work as described. Broken links or non-functional core features will lead to rejection.
  • Security: Projects must not contain malicious code, backdoors, or vulnerabilities that compromise user data.
